Previous Price Increases in January
The government has already increased fuel prices twice in January 2025.

- Petrol price was increased by 3 rupees 47 paise per liter.
- Diesel price was increased by 2 rupees 96 paise per liter.
- From January 16th to January 31st:
- Petrol price was raised again by 56 paise per liter.
- Diesel price was increased by 2 rupees 61 paise per liter.
If the expected price hike on February 1st happens, it will be the third increase in fuel prices within just one month.
